East Coast Avengers “Kill Bill O’Reilly” Video
Apparently the good folks over at Fox News had this video removed from the East Coast Avengers Myspace page. It must be nice to have that type of power. But I guess I can see why, is really necessary to “Kill Bill O’Reilly”? Maybe they could just gently nudge him around……then maybe they can keep their video up on their page.

Dr. Dre’s Son Found Dead
Andre Romelle Young Jr., the son of rapper and pioneering hip-hop producer Dr. Dre, was found dead in his Woodland Hills, California, home Saturday morning, according to Dre’s representative. He was 20 years old.
An autopsy was conducted on Young’s body Monday, but a cause of death has not yet been determined, pending the results of a toxicology report, a representative for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office told MTV News. The coroner’s rep confirmed that an Andre Romelle Young Jr. passed away Saturday, but was uncertain if he was Dre’s son; Dre’s rep confirmed that information Tuesday (August 26).
Young was discovered in his bed at around 10:30 a.m. Saturday by his mother, who attempted to rouse him, the coroner’s spokesperson said. Young was unresponsive, so she called paramedics, who responded to the scene. After their efforts to revive him failed, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the coroner’s spokesperson, Young had spent the previous evening with friends. His mother told police that he’d returned home Saturday at around 5:30 a.m., and that she’d heard him in his bedroom. Police said they did not suspect foul play.
A spokesperson for Dr. Dre issued the following statement Tuesday on the rapper’s behalf: “Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son Andre Young Jr. Please respect his family’s grief and privacy at this time.”
An outpouring of support flooded Dr. Dre’s MySpace page in the wake of his son’s passing, with fans offering their condolences and wishing the family strength. “Our prayers are with you and your family,” wrote one fan.

After watching this video I can’t say I completely agree or disagree with Skillz. But I enjoyed listening to him complain.
Da Brat Gets 3 Years
Former So So Def rapper and Vh1 reality TV star Da Brat was sentenced to three years in prison this morning. According to the Atlanta Constitution-Journal, the sentencing stems from a Halloween 2000 incident, whereby the Chicago native, ne’ Shawntae Harris, struck a waitress in the face with a bottle of rum, in Jermaine Dupri‘s Studio 72 nightclub.
The assault reportedly cost the victim permanent facial damage. Da Brat plead guilty, and was given three years of prison, 200 hours of community service and seven years of probation.
An east coast incarnate of G-funk, Da Brat‘s 1994 Funkdafied is her biggest success, backed by a single of the same name. The female rapper, along with Kriss Kross, proved to be instrumental in establishing So So Def Records and the artist tutelage of Jermaine Dupri. During this time, she was also involved in a brief feud with Snoop Dogg and Tha Dogg Pound.
In the ’00s, Da Brat released two more albums (four total), including 2000′s platinum release Unrestricted.
Despite leaving music’s limelight, she found success again as a cast member on Vh1‘s fourth season of Surreal Life. On the show, she feuded with Jane Weidlin of ’80s Pop band The Go-Go’s over remarks of career slump.
Leaving this morning’s trial, Da Brat told family and supporters, “I’ma miss y’all.”
B-Real Signs With Duck Down
Long rumored to be releasing on B-Real‘s own imprint Audio Hustlaz, the Cypress Hill frontman announced yesterday, through Duck Down Records, that he was releasing his solo debut Smoke N Mirrors on the historic New York label.
The deal comes as the latest in a series of the label acquiring veterans, including KRS-One, DJ Revolution and Diamond. Smoke N Mirrors will feature production from Fred Wreck, Scoop Deville, DJ Quik and guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, Buckshot and Cypress Hill member Sen Dogg.
The album is slated for January, 2009 release.
Omarion Gets Signed By Timbaland
With two albums released in the last two years (a solo and a collaboration with Bow Wow) that sold moderately well, Omarion has been far from a flop. Needless to say, he still wasn’t safe from rumors that whispered he was dropped by his former record label in Sony.
Talking to MTV, Omarion made it clear that it was the exact opposite. “I asked to be released,” he spoke with confidence.
Feeling he had to prove his words, Omarion gave a basic example between drops and releases. “A release is different from a drop. When an artist is dropped, usually they haven’t brought any revenue to the company. As you know, I’ve been with that company for a long time, roughly over six years. Throughout B2K and my solo albums, revenue was still brought in. An artist like me could never get dropped…It’s unfortunate that stuff like that gets put out there.”
That being said, it’s been his recent deal with Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group imprint that has settled his nerves, as he and Timbo connected during their negotiations. “Throughout the time for us having to work out the deal, we talked a lot. He told me what he wanted. I told him what I wanted. We had to make sure it came together organically. It was like we chose each other. We really sat down and felt each other out.”
Collaborators on the hit record “Ice Box” a little over a year ago, Omarion knew a chance like this doesn’t come around often, especially with an innovator like Timbaland. “I respect Timbaland a lot. He not just a producer, he’s a visionary. This guy comes in the game and changes the game. It’s not like I’m just getting with another producer who has a great track record.”
Content with his future, Omarion happily relayed, “I can’t ask for a better person to guide me.”

2Pac – “Euthanasia” & “Supreme Euthanasia”
While late rapper 2Pac is widely known for the infamous—and some say fictitious—east coast/west coast rap fued, he had a lot of love for many east coast emcees.
A recent blog posting on the Hip Hop is Read site shows a document in Pac’s original handwriting for an album tentatively titled Euthanasia.
The list of tracks has features including Method Man, Raekwon and RZA. While 2Pac was able to collaborate with Meth on All Eyez On Me in addition to other Wu affiliates, the list may shock some.
Another posting on the site shows another album, Supreme Euthanasia with features and production from R. Kelly, Shock G, Scarface and Kool G. Rap.
