Eminem Becomes First Hip Hop Artist To Achieve 1 Billion YouTube Views
Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga have company, as Eminem makes history today with his 28 official video view-counts, according to FameCount.com.
Detroit Hip Hop superstar Eminem is the first Hip Hop artist to reach one billion YouTube videos. According to FameCount.com, Em is the third musician overall to achieve this feat, joining Interscope labelmate Lady Gaga and teen sensation Justin Bieber.
Within his 13-year career as a major label artist, Eminem has released 28 official videos on his official YouTube page. Last week, Eminem finished filming on his latest video, “Space Bound” which co-stars former adult film actress, Sasha Grey. The song appears on Eminem’s multi-platinum 2010 release, Recovery.
Justin Bieber remains the all-time most-viewed artist on YouTube.com at 1.3 billion views.

The Vinyl And CD Release On One Disc From Jeff Mills
For a recent limited edition release, electronic/techno musician Jeff Mills has created a hybrid disc with a vinyl pressing on one side and a cd mix on the other. The Occurrence project merges analog and digital together in one format. The release is part of his ‘Sleeper Wakes’ series which Mills has undertaken to explore new sounds and unique ways to present them. For aperformance earlier this year in Japan, Mills had a circular stage specially constructed with all the DJ equipment recessed into the floor. The impression was of just Mills on the stage with no sound equipment visible what so ever.
